Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking a Site HSE Adviser for a 6 week contract role based at Nigg Oil Terminal.

Description of Roles and Responsibilities :

Provide Safety Advisor duties at the Nigg Oil Terminal to ensure Decommissioning activities are carried out with due regard to safety, the environment, in compliance with all processes and procedures.

Primary Functions :

* Promotion of clients Health Safety and Environmental culture during execute phase

* Engagement with clients operations teams and specialised fluid handling contractor to ensure alignment to clients HSE processes / policies / procedures.

* Ensuring contractor alignment with approved clients Tank Management Plan and contractors execute workpacks / risk assessments

* Conducting daily Safety Audits during the 3 phases of the site works (Pre-works / Execute / De-rig and backload)

* Participation in daily toolbox talks for risk mitigations

* Reporting of safety figures for inclusion in daily updates

Critical Skills :

* Ability to provide assurances that ongoing site operations from HSE perspective are being managed by onsite contractor.

* Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

* Knowledge and previous experience of either onshore reception terminal or offshore Oil and gas operating platforms

* Working knowledge of recognised Permit To Work Systems

* Ability to report back to project team on any perceived HSE risks.

Position reports (Functionally) to the Nigg Oil Terminal Plant Manager
Candidate ideally should be local to allow flexibility to provide 7 day cover with site supervision

Rota / Shifts / Hrs:

24th Aug 2020 - 5 day cover
3rd Sept 2020 - 5/7 day cover to completion of operations

Notes :

Position reports (Functionally) to the Nigg Oil Terminal Plant Manager
Candidate ideally should be local to allow flexibility to provide 7 day cover with site supervision

Week 1 & 2 during the set up phase would be a 5 day week (Monday to Friday)
Week 3 & 4 during the execute phase would be 7 days
Week 5 & 6 during the completion and rig down would be 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
